I had the privilege of competing in the first-ever Collegiate Games Challenge, an initiative by Gay Gaming Professionals (GGP) that brought together over 20 universities across the U.S. to showcase talent in three categories: Interactive, Business, and Cinematic.

In the Business Category, my partner and I chose to focus on Bungie’s upcoming title, Marathon — even though it was still in closed alpha and facing community skepticism. Our goal was to build a go-to-market strategy that was not only creative but also achievable and practical, grounded in sentiment analysis, competitive dynamics, and broader market trends.

Our 65-page presentation covered everything from financial forecasts and audience segmentation to competitor benchmarking and phased go-to-market rollout plans. What set our strategy apart was the emphasis on achievability. We designed clear KPIs and prioritized phased execution, reducing risk for the studio while adapting to evolving player feedback.

The result? We proudly took first place in the Business Category 🏆.
